would be nice to have separate tabs for this and do both. Is it possible?

If your referring to using web hooks to send a trigger or alert to BI yes this can be done. Easiest way I've found is to send http command to BI from webhooks or whatever.
I use a raspberry pi and some python code to send a http command to BI when a door is opened to trigger a camera and start recording and trigger an alert to send a message to my phone.
