The lens should just screw out, people on the forums used to do it all the time when Costco was selling the 2100 bullets that came with 6mm and people wanted wider lenses. What you have to do is buy a 4300S with a 6mm lens, take it out, put it in your camera, that's the only sure fire way. The less than perfect way is to buy lenses, plenty on ebay or dx.com and see if they fit. There's three things that can go wrong M12 lenses. First the backfocus is so far off that you can't adjust it enough to get focus. The other two are too short, too long. It's obvious that too long won't fit behind the glass, too short may lead to IR light bleed if the lens gets behind the LEDs and can also vignette. Even if you had the exact same length lens, there's no guarantee it will work because you don't know at what point it will focus, so the exact same size lens can end up being too long or too short after you focus it. Does that make sense? There's no standards for M12 lenses.

Honestly it's easier to sell the camera, get one with the lens you like or find someone on the forum that has successfully transplanted a 6mm lens and will share his source.

Thanks, I guess it sounds like a crap-shoot if I try to use a lens off of ebay.
