Is there a tutorial for setting up BI?

I have my first camera installed and connected to the second NIC in a dedicated PC.

I found this post from wittaj describing how to initially configure the camera that I purchased.

Is there a similar post or tutorial somewhere that describes how to initially configure Blue Iris? Key settings, etc? All the options and settings seem a bit overwhelming to start.

Your best bet is to search YouTube. The Hook Up just posted a video covering BI and configuring AI, but you really only need to pay attention to the setting up BI aspect. There are also other channels that give more in depth details on the settings.

its not a sprint, its a 26 miler....
just having the thing installed and connected and on screen is a big deal when your new.



Probably want to start with NO- Hardware accelerated decode for today.

dont let BI update automatically ( first screenshot) until you get things stabilized. 5.7.4.2 would be a good start.

Thanks for the screen shots. I installed 5.7.5.0. Should I uninstall and go to a previous version? I didn't see 5.7.4.2 listed for download anywhere.
