Hi all,
Latest Blue Iris version running on Windows Server 2016 with dual E5620 CPUs @ 2.40Ghz (16 logical processors), 48GB of RAM. Average CPU and memory utilization is about 20% - server isn't being taxed at all.
Amcrest ProHD 1080p WiFi Camera.
In the camera's configuration, I have the main stream set up as follows:
Code Stream Type: General (other option is "Motion")
Encode Mode: H.264H (other options are H.264B, H.264, or MJPEG)
Resolution: 1080P (other options 720P or VGA)
Frame Rate: 20 (1 - 30)
Bit Rate Type: CBR (CBR or VBR)
Bit Rate: Customized -- 4000
In Blue Iris, I have Amcrest model ProHD/IP2/3/4M Main Stream RTSP (other option which I confirmed does work, but didn't set long enough to see if there's a noticeable difference is ProHD RTSP/HTTP)
Under the Format drop down, I selected RTSP and checked the box for Setup RTSP back-channel for talk support.
Overall the camera seems to work OK, but it's jumpy / the image gets hung. See video for example:
Is there any way to remedy this, or is it simply because I'm over WiFi and not directly wired to my switch? In comparison, my RaspiCam tied into Blue Iris via IP is 100% smooth and no jumps at all.
