Latest version crashes on Win 10

Hi everyone, I haven't been able to find a solution to this yet, but I updated BI yesterday to the latest version and ever since the console crashes on launch. As a service BI is still running and I can access the cameras through a browser but nothing on the console.

I have tried to do an in place full installation, I've tried the update again. I made sure the Win 10 updates were done and rebooted between each step but the console still crashes.

I was thinking of wiping out the installation and starting from scratch but I didn't want to lose any camera settings. Has anyone had this problem with the latest version and if so, have you gotten it working yet?

I just upgraded to version 4.6.4.4 and it also crashes. Never had a problem with updates. Had to restore to a previews version.

disable auto update, always update via the website, that way you have an old update file to run to revert back...note that it is not crashing for me...search "dropbox" on this forum to find others who posted earlier versions...someone also posted an ftp site with updates...

Thanks Kennn and Fenderman. I appreciate the response, the advice and the solution to get a previous version. All is working now that I've rolled back. I also disabled the auto update. I don't want to fight with this again.

I would report your issue to support....updates include new features and security fixes so they are worthwhile you just need to wait a bit after a release and keep a backup restore file.

Where did you find the rollback file? I am having the same issue and cant find a previous version. Thanks for your time and info.

I have been having a similar issue since 4.6.4.0, please send support your issue's.
I've submitted a ticket with BI. Haven't heard anything back except the generic "we got your email" response. I'm sure they will get to me.

Same here. I had a response from Support asking if this version did the same thing and if so, if I could try to figure out what camera or function was causing the crash. I sent them the event log from the latest crash.

4.6.4.6 is still crashing for me. Occasionally it will start correctly and then crash some random minutes/hours later. I just signed up here after having this problem; I didn't know prior versions weren't accessible so that I needed to back them up. Can someone dropbox a 4.6.3?

I just updated to 4.6.4.6 which resolved an issue with an admin being limited to certain camera groups. This resolved my issue. I also removed the limit on the admin logins because that should never have been there in the first place. To double check, I then rolled back to 4.6.4.5 and sure enough, it worked for me so long as I have the admin accounts not limited to particular camera groups.
