Hi everyone,

I've been reading a lot lately on this forum and decided to become a member.

5 years ago I purchased two Dahua HDBW3202 dome camera's and a Dahua 3216 NVR. Both camera's are placed in front of my house.

Overall I have been quite happy with the performance of the camera's but I would like to have better image quality during the day and especially at night. Furthermore I prefer to have a ptz camera with auto tracking and IVS if there is a decent dome camera available. Camera's like the Dahua SD50225U-HNI are to large unfortunately.

One of the downsides of my NVR is the lack of good software functions. For instance, I use Surveillance station software on my Synology NAS to get messages on my Iphone when someone enters my driveway because the NVR software lacks (decent) functionality in this respect. A bit of a workaround but it works.

I am wondering if there are camera's out there nowadays that are a significant improvement over my 5 year old HDBW3202's and therefore worth the investment for an upgrade. This also applies to the NVR. Although I would love to have ptz camera's with auto tracking and IVS, I think this function alone will not be worth investing in a new system.

Your advice is much appreciated!

For the record, please find below the specs of the camera's and the NVR:

Welcome Musica

Definitely some improvements compared to 5 years ago.

I'd suggest looking at the Dahua OEM starlight cameras - in particular look at the IPC-HDW5231xx and IPC-HDW4231xx models
Probably worth picking up one and seeing how well it works for low light conditions.
