A friend just purchased the Costco lorex 4k kit and we realized it would be easier if we locate and run all cameras to a poe switch in the basement, then from the basement to the NVR using one wire. This will prevent us from running all cameras to he NVR which is in the bedroom.
Wondering if the NVR will detect the cameras in the same fashion on the switch as it would on the back of the NVR, which is usually plug and play or minimal setup without the need for camera logins or ip setups.
If camera logins are necessary, is there a SADP equivelant for the lorex?
