Mic not working with Dahua or Amcrest cameras

guys - I have the IPC-HDW5231R-ZE and IP2M-841 and both of these cameras have microphones. However, I'm unable to get BI to work with them. I've read through some forums topics but nothing concrete to help me troubleshoot this. The mic has been tested on Windows and set to allow all applications to use it. In BI settings, I've enabled Audio capture hardware and it shows my headset. When I talk on my headset, I can hear my own sound

Any troubleshooting tips would be appreciated

The 5231 has a mic, not a speaker. For the 841, select the camera model from the dropdown, dont use find inspect.
