Any ideas why the remote Milestone app works when I am on data, but does not work when I am connected to my home wifi?

Thanks!

Are you using a router/modem combo? If so that is your problem - nat loopback issue. You need to use the local ip address when you are local.

Thanks fenderman. This is what it is.

Any idea how to include the local ip address so I can also use the mobile app to view cameras when at home vs. having to switch wifi off?

Some mobile apps (like blue iris) allow you to enter the WAN and LAN for the same server. If you cant, then simply setup a "second" server in the app and point it to the local lan ip.

the latest Milestone app lets you add multiple addresses, so that would help, it might be worth looking for a newer firmware for this router of yours
