Ok, I am running a 4k Amcrest camera at 3840x2160 on a 1920x1080 monitor. Because I am running a 4k camera I went and bought a 4k Samsung monitor (the video card supports 4K) After hooking up the 4k monitor there is no difference between the two monitors! How can that be? First monitor is a Samsung 1920x1080. The new Samsung monitor is 3840x2160. the video quality is the same!

The quality would be close to the same from a desktop perspective but you should have more real estate on the 4k monitor as long as you have your Display Settings set to "Extend these displays" rather than "Duplicate these displays" and have the 4k monitor set to the 3840x2160 resolution

I don't have a 4K TV but I do have a monitor with a higher resolution than 1080p so I was just showing the settings to make sure the two monitors aren't treated as one which would force both to display at the resolution the first monitor was set to.
