Hey everyone...

I just had a friend get a quote for a video system for his moderately sized building... (15 cameras between inside and out)

It's a new installation, yet they quoted MPX instead of IP.

Any thoughts as to why? I really assumed IP was the future and the way to go...?

Your friend should take the hint and run away from these sleazy bastards.. MPX (HDCVI) should only be used when existing analogue wiring is in place.. and even then its just a stop gap until the infrastructure can be upgraded to IP.

Anyone running Coax cable for video surveillance in 2017 needs a kick in the nutz.
