My overall IP Camera and LAN Setup ( Crude diagram included!)

Hi all

Sorry, I am bombarding with questions today!

I have a question on my overall ip camera/internet setup. I Have no broadband installed yet from an ISP, just an old ISP line coming up in the front hall. (in the diagram EIR = a local ISP)

My electrician has routed CAT6 cable around the house, to serve as internet access in living room and kitchen, and also for the two IP cameras.

All cables terminate in the eaves/attic (loft) space as I live in a dormer house.

I have drawn a pretty crude diagram, as attached.

Just wondering if what i am going the right way about this. I think I need a switch in the eaves, taking a feed from cat 6 cable as connected to my broadband modem/router.
The NVR can take one cable in from the switch?

Yes you can run a network cable cat 5E / 6 from the NVR to the attic where you place the switch. The switch needs to be a POE switch or you will need to have power injectors.
