Hi, as per my introduction, I am the new kid on the block.

I am living in Germany and I got an Annke system with 8 cameras, too old to follow your warnings to stay away from it....

One of the connectors was totally corroded and so I had to cut off the plug and the connector.
Much to my surprise I only found 6 wires in the Annke connector, but the CAT 5 needs 8 ones!?

Now, here my Annke colors:

brown/ purple twisted together
Orange/ blue twisted together
grey/ yellow twisted together.

Thats it.

I need to find a way to link that to the standard color coding of CAT 5.

Seems that:
Blue may link to Ethernet green
Orange may link to Ethernet white green
Purple may link to Ethernet orange
Brown may link to Ethernet white orange

AT least that is what I seem to have found here in the forum, searching all the threads.

Part of the female plug was still checkable and when you look into the hole of the female plug of the camera, I could test out as follows:

Left let me call the left one no 1.

no 1:
brown

no 2
purple

no 3 was gone, but I suspect that to be orange?

no 4
yellow

no 7
grey

Where do the other colors go and how do they link up to CAT 5?
Thanks for your help.

cat5 has 4 pair but only two pairs are used for poe in most cams...annke may be using a different poe method (likely passive) and needs 3 pair (6 wires)...doubt you will find anyone with info here...very few if any have an annke system...contact them, try trial and error, or cut another camera and test...

Too bad, I had hoped for an easy solution, but as we all know, the easy one rarely comes up...
Have sent a message to Annke for help, will see, if they even bother...

okay I decoded it and found the solution:

Annke cable color / Ethernet color
Grey / Brown and brown white together
Yellow / Blue and blue white together
orange / green white
blue / green
purple / orange
brown / orange white

the cameras function and I am happy.
