This is completely stock, new out of the box, first time setup. In GUI, the highest option for FPS is 20 - no matter the resolution - even at the lowest. I have many identical cameras, and they all allow me to set to 30FPS without any issue.

Is something borked or am I missing some setting somewhere that is incompatible with the 30FPS option?

The specs state 20FPS, so maybe they changed it and now only goes to 20FPS...

Well that would really suck. I have about 10 of these already installed, and they're all running at 30FPS w/o any issue. Interestingly this new install has identical firmware dates/numbers to the ones already in my system. If this is a 'downgrade', it must be hardware based. I've sent a request to Amcrest's tech support website.

I just looked up the camera on their website, and it still shows 1-30FPS for all but the highest resolutions:

For some reason my browser must think I've chosen the highest resolution. Peculiar.

I have been using one for like half a year, 5mp max has always been 20fps

It turned out to be a local browser/pc issue. From my phone, the same page allowed me to select 30FPS. Something got borked with regard to the resolution setting. Even though I'd chosen the lowest resolution, the FPS drop down menu didn't reflect the change. All is resolved for now.
