Hi to everyone!

I am new to the forum, I ended up here searching for a ip camera for a very non-standard setup.

At work we have a bunch of computers with small 7" screens in a server room. I have setup a camera to view the screens (8 of them) from my desk. I used an Axis camera that was lying around, but the problem is that I hardly can see the content of the screens. I have the camera positioned about 50cm from the screens.

Should I look at any particular sensor that would be good for this light contrast?

Any tips are highly apreciated.

Also my budget is not high (probably a couple of hundred €)

Thanks a lot!

If you need to do this with a fixed camera (e.g. to record all the screens at the same time) then I'd suggest picking an 8 megapixel Dahua cam. One with a varifocal lens would cost more but would help you optimize the field of view without having to move the camera as much. A fixed-lens 8MP should be obtainable for $150 or less through @EMPIRETECANDY

If this is just to occasionally check on something (e.g. read a crash dump message) then I would suggest a small indoor PTZ camera with some optical zoom (3x or 4x). This should deliver much better readability once zoomed in on a particular screen.
