I've recently sacked off my ring system and put in a new hikvision. 4x Ds-2cd2387g3, 1x Ds-2cd2367g3 and a ds7600 server.
Question 1: the cameras are very slow to detect motion and then switch on colourvue. Compared to the rubbish ring system I had which instantly put the lights on when I walked in front of them. The hikvision is probably a good 3 to 4 seconds before it lights up which is incredibly annoying as I use the lights to see my way around outside at night. I've tried various settings but nothing seems to make it switch faster. Any ideas?
Question 2: I've set up events so when a camera detects motion certain other cameras turn their light on as well. It was working fine last night, however tonight it doesn't work at all. Checking the linkage settings all points to it being correct and it's not like it's reset itself or something. I've restarted the system too but it's not respecting my linkage setup at all. It's really frustrating as again I use this light to see what I'm doing outside in the dark, such as taking the bins out. Any ideas on why all of sudden the linkage event timing would stop working?
