Using BI v5.7.7.3 to send an alert when camera senses motion so that an external light is switched on via Homeseer HS4. Using the following syntax in BI - "192.168.x.xxx:80/JSON?&request=runevent&id=848". The event is configured as below

The problem is that the light switches on even during the day time. Have restarted PC, HS and BI are on same PC and no change. Have rebuilt the event from scratch and the light still appears during the day. Time is correct on the PC.

Would appreciate any suggestions as how to get it to work only after sunset and before sunrise!

Never used homeseer but the links below say something about
AFAIK you can't do that. Manual triggers NEVER evaluate any conditions i.e. the AND IF is ignored . Hence why I have a manual trigger; trigger another event ( so that the conditional logic is evaluated ). This I did see mentioned in the forums and is apparently not a bug but "by design"
but there is a way by creating another manual event that calls your event, then it will use the conditions, or a virtual device (no idea what Im talking about :D)

Another solution might be to use profiles in blueiris and base those on the sun, TheHookUp mentions it for using day/nightplate in this video, so you can probably adapt it to your needs.

Many thanks for pointing this out. Will make the changes and report back.

Just to say that withusing an intermediate "virtual device", the light behaves as expected! Thanks for pointing this out.
