No alerts when shutdown

Hello...I have BI running as a service but it seems if I close the app, I do not get email alerts. Is this normal?

Are you sure you are not shutting down the service.?

It was not running in task manager. I unchecked/rechecked rebooted and all is well. Hopefully just a fluke. Thanks again fnderman! I'm now going to post a question about the Android App
