I think my nvr died, no display via hdmi or 15pin-vga cable.
no login screen via pc and ipaddress, although lights on network plug do blink.
hard drives have power n get warm but no noticeable spinup
processor fan is ok
several led on motherboard light up.
seems power supply is ok but not sure how to verify.

it has been running 24/7 with 4-4tb hdd, 4 6mp cams, only shutdown when power was interrupted.

last power outage it didn't boot back up.

is there a hard reset I can do?
replace processor? with?

is it possible to purchase a new motherboard/processor

I have a 7416 I bought that didn't do what I wanted, can I swap the processors plug-n-play like. (doubtful but worth asking.)

should I upgrade? to a 5416 ?????

thanks in advance.

Disconnected all drives. Nada.

Tried new HDMI cables, vga also nada.

I think the power supply in a 7416 might work. Haven't tried it though.
Won't be back to the cabin for another week. I'm open to any ideas. A replacement seems to be in the $4-500 range :(

I'm not familiar with nvrs. It has an internal power supply? Maybe one of the power rails has dies(5V, 3.3V, etc.). Bad voltage regulator, bulging capacitor, shorted mosfet transistor.

I would measure the surface mount capacitors, maybe one is shorted. At least, measure at the power input, to see, if it is showing a short.
