Grrrrr.... No ONVIF Triggers are being received or processed by BI for my newest cam...
IPC-T5442T-ZE installed a few weeks ago.

IVS is set up for cam for smart (human) detection, as well as motion (I like seeing deer and random animals) --set to be very sensitive to generate a lot of alerts (I adjust to minimize from there so I am comfortable I won't miss things).
BI is using a standard substream / mainstream continuous recording, direct to disk, BI-DVR format. It is set to monitor ONVIF. under Alerts.

BI so far NEVER alerts via ONVIF. I can walk right towards the camera, and the Cam web interface will detect me and put a box around me, but BI does not trigger or generate an alert. I am using a single IVS Intrusion rule (along with general motion detection), so I should be getting LOTS of alerts from triggers:

Firmware version has not been updated ever-- but I think this is a BI thing...

This is my only 5442. I tried to copy setting by setting somewhat from a T2231T-ZS that is using Motion + IVS and is sending ONVIF triggers normally. I am missing something here-- probably something Simple.
I just walked out there, and the 2231T triggered an alert when I stepped into the back yard. The 5442 watched me walk right up and open the door to the camper and put the stairs down, with No trigger.

Help me Obiwan.... LOL

What the hell am I missing here?

Hit the find/inspect and use what BI finds for it.

Mine comes in as generic and the ONVIF port is 80, whereas yours is 8999, so if it is port 80, then yeah you won't trigger.

I will run out and test right now....

EDIT: Nothing. No Trigger or Alert after I walked from the back to the front between garage and camper.

I've never selected" Camera's digital input or motion alarm" or changed any of those Alert tab settings from default. And my 5442 ze is catching motion and putting it on the Alerts column without any of that. Maybe copying the settings of that other cam isn't what it needs?

Is the 54421 within the camera set to record and somehow the schedule isn't turned off?

In other words, if you pull up the camera gui live view, it shows that it picked you up?

Is there an SD card in the camera that you can confirm that it is indeed triggering?

Sometimes you simply need to delete the cam in BI and start over.

Is there an @ in your password? Have you changed the admin password more than once (sometimes it won't transfer over to the ONVIF manager if more than once).

Up the buffer to 20MB

No in-camera storage or recording....

I think delete and start over is a good idea....... there is something just odd here....

Yes!!! I have set up 4 of these same cams already for different people without any issues. Of course my own cam has to F with me... LOL

So I deleted the cam, then added it back. Ding Ding Ding.... working now. WTH??
This is one of those deals where I'm glad it is apparently working now, but it bugs the hell outa me that I could not pinpoint the specific thing stopping it from working right in the first place.
That part of it is frustrating.

Sweet.

Sometimes goofy things happen. Not the first or last that deleting a cam and re-adding fixes it.

Sometimes I think a wonky setting stays in the registry (like maybe the ONVIF port) and deleting the cam and re-add fixes it.
