Wanted to document a little project I'm working on. Let me know if this isn't the best place for this.

Still waiting on the Unifi Flex Switch to arrive in the mail.

I got a weatherproof enclosure from Amazon: Ogrmar ABS Plastic Dustproof Waterproof IP65 Junction Box Universal Durable Electrical Project Enclosure With Lock (8.6"x6.7"x4.3") - - Amazon.com and picked up one of these:
I drilled a hole on the top of the enclosure where the main line from my house will run into for the switch.

Since the connector was 3/4, I thought getting a 3/4 hole bit would be enough, but I had to use a smaller bit to make the hole bigger. Does a 3/4 conduit connector hole need a 1inch hole bit?

Once I get the switch, I'll run all the conduit and update the post.

I use boxes like that for other projects and a handy tip you may find useful is cutting off those nubs to allow flush mount. Attaching photos I've done. Dremel cutting blade makes fast work of it...literally seconds.

3/4" conduit fittings require a 1-1/8" hole for the fittings. 3/4" is the inside diameter of the pipe itself.
Awesome haha saved myself a lot of hassle of buying the wrong one. Have one ready for pick up at home depot for tomorrow.

I was thinking about that earlier and thought about sanding them, but might just go pick up a blade for my Dremel.
Thanks for the tip!

Can you provide a link to the enclosure at Amazon? I may need to similarly locate a USW-Flew switch.

That’s coming along nicely! I did a similar project a few years ago with a customer using an extra outdoor general duty electric box. Be sure to seal up those extra mounting holes and around your PVC, especially if it’ll be exposed to the elements. 957EBDE4-DF08-4746-9FBD-CA243DE370DB.jpegC182F4E8-4C28-4666-A2B0-F808BDBA0C54.jpeg

I need to make something similar to that for my sump pump. I need to do power though and don't mess with electric stuff lol.
That looks clean though!

Ground was damp enough after Elsa that I could easily trench the line to the shed.

Didn't really feel like buying a burial cable so used normal cat6 blue cable and when it fails I'll replace it lol.

Heres some pictures below.
