Overlay when WU is down

My WeatherLink IP adapter failed and I am waiting for the new one to arrive. So is there a way for BIT to detect that the Weather Underground station is down and not reporting? WU shows this with the message
"This PWS is not reporting
Last updated: 7/13/2017, 7:34:57 PM,
4 days ago"

All my cams still display the old weather data. And if so to perhaps put ? or * in place of weather data?

Possibly, I will look into it. But doesn't BIT fail to load any data at all if the station is down?

No it doesn't! In fact my weatherstation KCAPOWAY88 went down awhile ago and it was still reporting.. (It appears that my 9 cameras may be blocking the Davis weather station every so often and then the weather station chokes. Its back up again.
I just purchased a managed switch in the hopes this solves the problem.
