Well, not really. But today my partner parked the car outside the house like normal and the NVR went nuts. It started sending a Email notification every 15 to 60 seconds by the Face Detection being triggered.

This went on for a while until I moved the car slightly.

Picture of the car with a face.

It did it for about 30 mins and in more daylight too..

Very odd, might have to frame this 'art'.

On my dahua system, Face Detect events are marked in the playback timeline. So I play back the recorded video, and I see the green box for object tracking. When a Face is detected, the green box changes to red. Using the playback from the web based interface in the NVR. So you can search recorded video, and see where this "face" was detected....

FD has seen faces in shrubbery, and shadows on a wall. And then misses real faces.
Using FD meant I couldn't use "tripwire" or "intrusion zone". For these reasons, I gave up w/ FD. And used the much more dependable line cross and intrusion zone features.

Good luck

Maybe a smiley face, drawn with a finger in the dust? Trips the Face Detect....
