Never played with PIR on my Hikvision 2432, and I'm a little confused...

How to I get a PIR event to trigger BI to record? Does Blue Iris support even PIR?

See my post here http://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php?722-Hikvision-in-camera-motion-detection-with-BI
Maybe you can figure it out. It detects the initial trigger but then doesn't stop.
Thanks for the heads up!

Im running BI 3.59.0

I somehow got it to work... confusing as heck, but it appears to be working so far...

Here's what I did on my wired Hikvision 2432

Blue Iris Setting
1. Motion/Trigger Tab (to prove that the PIR works)
Uncheck Enable,
set "End Trigger unless..." 15 sec (or your requirement)
2. Video Tab:
Configure, Other Options: Check "Trigger using camera's digital input out motion"
3. PTZ/Control Tab
Check "Enable Pan/Tilt/Zoom..."
Verify your camera is on port 80, else change
Resume/Cycle/schedule after inactivity (sec): 40

Hikvision Gui:
Configuration Tab
a. Motion Detection: uncheck "Enable Motion Detection"
b. Alarm Output Tab:
1. Alarm Output: A->1
2. Alarm Name: Pir1
3. Alarm Schedule: Start 00:00 End: 24:00 Copy to week (should be all blue)
4. Copy to Alarm: Check Select all
5. Save
c Other Alarm
1. Check Enable PIR Alarm
2. Alarm Name: Pir1
3. Check: Trigger Channel, A->1
4. Arming Schedule Edit
Start Time 00:00 End Time: 24:00 Copy to Week
5. Save

The PIR works, but im getting some strange false alerts and I can't see why it's even alerting... Maybe its picking up bugs...

So back to BI motion detection for now

you need to set Events -> Alarm Output -> Delay to 5s. This means it will close the alarm output and hence the trigger to BI after 5s of inactivity.

can you guys tell me what PTZ camera is selected on there? mine won't work. I have Network IP: Hikvision/Abus

I'm curious if this is because my 2432 is on version 1.5.0

I'm getting the output signal on the http://xxx.xxx.x.x/IO/outputs/1/status/ from inactive to active so I know that's working...

what isn't working however is that BI isn't picking it up. I have the use device motion sensor checked in video, and PTZ is enabled and set for Hikvision/Abus

It needs to be set to the http port not the media port. The default on hikvision is 80. Check it in your network settings.

yep, it's on 8000 which is what my camera uses (I prefer 4 digit numbers so I did 8000)

Also your http port is set wrong in your video settings...your video is still displaying because blue iris pulls the stream from the rtsp port (554, in your case)...
EDIT: ok i see.

so what do I do? any suggestions? I do something wrong?

edit: got it! you are right. I thought I set it at 8000, but I guess I never did... very odd. I went to the port window to take a picture for you and realized it was set to 80 and no 8000.

with that, I got the microphone feature back, and also got the motion detection to go on!

now I have another problem... the audio via the mobile app is horrible!!!! sounds like a really weak voice signal from star wars lol

So you are now getting audio "talk" via the camera not the pc? That makes sense.....
For the audio to work well you need a good connection...try it wired it will be perfect...also try the various codecs in the camera like g.711 etc and see if one is better than the others..also in the ptz tab when you enter your port, try entering it without the :
Actually, try testing the camera after the reset without messing with the ports and leave everything default and see if you can get audio and pir to work.

Also ensure you have a good connection on your phone...Test the audio via the hikvision mobile app and compare as well.

yeah, i believe there is some additional compression being done by the the BI mobile app...there is really no need for any additional compression on the audio....Test it wired ethernet though...that helped a lot and it sounded really good even with the BI app. Maybe email ken to have the android developer work on the audio compression..
