So I have the IPC-T5241H-AS-PV camera with a built-in mic and built-in speaker. This camera is located on the corner of the house.

I would like to play a sound if the camera on the other corner is triggered.

I tried the ON ALERT Feature to trigger the T5241 and it will trigger it to start recording, which is good. Probably expecting to much for it to also play the sound from that camera during a trigger from BI - is it even possible?

So I thought maybe I could also set up an ON ALERT for sound, but nothing comes out of the camera speaker when testing or triggering.

Has anyone had success playing a sound from an internal speaker on a camera?

I am getting the camera to play a sound file from Blue Iris On Alert events, but it can be intermittent.
What u have above should work. Setting the sound to play for 4 seconds or more seems to have better success.

I am looking for newer firmware to see it that will make the camera more reliable.

I am also working hard on finding the right settings for getting the two-way audio to work.
Attached is my current config in BI and it works with a delay and not always.
I am also looking at how BI computer interface works compared to the BI mobile app.
It is definately simplex and the mic button must be held down..

Andy, please point me to the latest firmware for this camera.
I have the no-logo version of the camera and found your post for the
V2.800.0000000.11.R, Build Date: 2019-12-30 version.
Is there anything newer available that has your recommendation?

Thanks,

Interesting - I will try bumping up the time it runs.

Yeah, I have the same settings you do for the add camera screen.

I wonder if the firmware will fix it?

The firmware update is significant. Made the camera faster and added some new features.

Thanks again Andy.
Your product support is greatly appreciated!

Other thoughts:
I am pushing this camera hard and wondering about it's performance regarding multi-tasking.
If the built-in light is on due to an IVS detection, can it still send an alert due to an alarm circuit closure?
So far, not responding until light goes out, it seems.
If anyone knows anything about this, it would be appreciated.
