POE NVR +NAS for cloud storage.

Hello. I'm looking to install a NVR. with 4 HDR cams at my home.
alot of these NVR companies do not have any external or network capable mirroring or backup so I was wondering if i could somehow make my own.

using a NVR for example - LNR824KXB

and a NAS like this - DS218


I could use the lorex without bother. it will work and do as its supposed to do.

If it was setup on the same network as the DS218. could i usethe security camera software on the DS218 to also record from the Same cameras as the NVR. so both are recording at the same time?

Hikvision is capable of doing what you want. You can point the NVR at the NAS, then tell it to “redundant” record to that drive. I have it set up that way using a Synology. Also, some Hikvision NVR’s have a eSATA on the back. Same thing, just plug in a external HD, then set that drive to “redundant” record
