I have recently purchased a couple of Varifocal Turret (IPC-HDW5231R-Z) for outdoors and a couple of Mini Wedge (IPC-HDBW4231F-AS) that I am installing in my home using BI for the NVR. It seems once they switch to night vision they tend to stay there regardless of the light settings. For example, if I turn off the lights in a room they'll switch to night mode but don't return to color when the lights are turned back on. Also, looking for any recommending settings I should be tweaking as currently pretty much everything is set to default other than the IP and Camera Name.
