Pss 4.06 dpi fix

I normally run PSS 4.06 in a windows xp emulator on my high resolution monitor because it does not play well with my monitor. The text is not showing up because it is not sized very well with the rest of boxes that the text is in. There are fixes out for it called the dpi fix but I don't want to do it because it cost money. Is there a free dpi fix download?

I tried the new smart icrss cms program and I don't care for it at all.

Go in your computers settings and change text font to small

I was going to do that but why should I change my settings on my pc when for just one program?

I may just keep using this one laptop dedicated for PSS.

I tried using PSS after I changed the DPI settings and as soon as it starts streaming video it all goes black but still shows the speed of download and fps on the top frame so I don't know what the deal is. Maybe WIndows 8 doesn't like it.

Not impressed much with Windows 8 but I don't think many people are.

Check out the compatibility options for the PSS executable. There is an option in there to disable DPI scaling.

Give the PC a reboot if you are still getting black video.

I have to admit Windows doesn't do DPI scaling particularly well yet. Old or incompatible programs should simply be rendered stretched like they are in Mac OS, without ever bothering the user.
