I have had good luck with many different pt ip cameras over the years.
both with their smartphone app and ease of interface to ispy software.

But this camera stumps me.
Other than supplied software for LAN network application/viewing I can do anything else with it.
I need to both view the stream and ptz move the camera from any place in he world.
But port forwarding does not seem to work and ISPY does not work with it.
HELP!!
Thanks,
Ray

If you are lucky it will be ONVIF compatible as most IP camera are these days and you may be able to find lots of useful info with the very good Windows open-source tool 'ONVIF Device Manager' from sourceforge.net
That appears to be an Anran camera.

Thanks,
I did see something in setup of camera on ONVIF but right now I do not know what that means.
Have to do some reading.

If the camera is ONVIF compatible - 'ONVIF Device Manager' will show you:

The device information - IP address, model, firmware etc
The network ports - HTTP, RTSP
Live Video - and the RTSP stream URL
The ONVIF port - at the bottom of the Identification page
Web GUI page and it's address
and lots more.

Well, it is ONVIF compatible.
For the errors - I'd speculate that you haven't supplied ODM with the correct login name and password for the canmera web GUI.
Username=dine seems unusual for a camera - usually more like 'admin'
NVT=Network Video Transmitter - usually a camera.

The RTSP stream info can be seen on the bottom of the 'Live Video' page.
Have you been able to access the camera web GUI before?
Presumably on that you will see PTZ controls.

if I click on ptz control it does overlay 4 direction arrows on top of video feed.
Now if I only can get this in ispy program and/or on a remote internet computer.
But getting there, step by step
Thanks,
Ray

Setup a VPN to your place. This is the superior means of remote access in any event. With the VPN active you can use the lan software you mentioned from anywhere in the world just like you do when you are on the same lan. There are many Asus firewalls/routers that have built in OpenVPN capabilities and are relatively simple to setup.

When you want to view the camera you open the VPN app on your phone, connect it, open the camera viewing app and use it just like you are in the building with the cam, same IP address and all traffic is passed without restriction so it will almost certainly work just fine.

Well done, you are indeed getting there!
And isn't ODM really useful for getting those undocumented unguessable things like the RTSP URL?

I am setting this system up for a Asian friend of mine who has 3 different cameras in his business (2 wifi and new tpz wired)
Then he has his home with 3 redlink and 1 other different wifi that I need to make into another server
each server will need to do motion record.
That is why I like ispy so far.
Just got to get the init script right?

I actually found a script that worked for this camera but now found out that Ispy recording of this one camera alone, mp4 encoding on an I3 used up 90% cpu usage.
This device has multicast ability. But I can not find a way to record a multicast stream. Any suggestions?

I have this camera that I can't log into, the default passwords do not work. Is there a way to do a factory reset so the default name and password will work. This is a used cam. The vender has not been much help. Thanks
