Hello all

I've just bought a Hikvision DS-2CD2335FWD - I camera but for the life of me I cannot connect it via SADP

It is set to the default Hikvision IP (192.168.1.64) but no matter what I try it is just not seeing it. It also doesn't show up under Angry IP scanner

What is confusing is that I've tried it on a friends PC and it shows up instantly in both SADP & Angry IP

I've unplugged my original running camera, tested the cable I'm using

What am I doing wrong - any suggestions gratefully received

Thank you in advance

make sure you are using the 3.x version, and not the version that may have come on the CD with the camera.
SADP Tool

How did you power the camera there?

no matter what I try it is just not seeing it.
And how did you power the camera here?
Does the 'link detect' LED show on the router/switch port that you have the camera connected to?

Presumably the camera isn't connected to an NVR PoE port?
If so - also plug the PC to an unused NVR PoE port.

Does the switch have both a power LED and a network link detect LED?
Yes, it does (one each side) & both are illuminated. The PoE one is constantly illuminated & the Link one is flashing
