Record Motion/Continuous

Hi Guys,

Well, I have noticed a small issue that I have been facing after installation of the NVR/DVR. I mainly use Hikvision. After I setup cameras on the NVR/DVR and configure motion detection and all are ON. I notice some cameras trip OFF maybe when restart or after a few days and would not record and then I have to turn them on.

What is the right way to setup recording?

Are you setting the cameras to a static ip address or are you letting the nvr assign ip addresses? Setting them to static seems to solve a lot of little glitches.

Mostly static but what does this have to do with the recording?
