How can I reduce the size of recording files?

The file size is dependent on only one camera setting and that is your max bitrate... If you lower your max bit rate the file size will be smaller...

Thanks guys but where do I drop the FPS, bitrate or resolution? In the camera GUI or BI? Actually I really want detail on the BI screen but less for recordings so dropping resolution at the camera GUI is not ideal for me.

The only way to do it is in the camera GUI. BI simply takes the video that is fed to it.

Are you using substreams? That would reduce the size of the recordings.

I tried setting up sub streams but it always shows the same bit rate for main and sub in BI.
