Just bought a new Lorex PTZ camera. Hooked it up to power and ethernet directly into router. Do not have a NVR, want to use SecuritySpy with the camera. Go into the router homepage, cannot find IP assigned to the camera. There were a couple of IP addressses I wasn't sure about, so I plugged those addresses into multiple browsers, but no luck. Tried different ethernet cables, no luck. Is the camera a dud?

they usually come with fixed IP's outside your subnet, you'll have to get on the same network as it and configure it for your network.

the manual should indicate the default IP, 192.168.1.108 if its a Dahua variant.

You might try an app like Fing to scan for the cam's IP if available. I talked about the tool in another thread here.
