Dahua NVR, Dahua cams. I've noticed that I can make changes both in the NVR and when logged directly into the camera. Is there a preference to where the changes are made, and why?
There are some camera settings that are not accessible through the NVR, so there's no choice with them (IR light settings for example). For the settings that are accessible via the NVR, some may or may not work correctly depending on the firmware versions in the NVR and cameras. The reliability has been getting generally better with the newer firmware releases. For settings that work correctly from the NVR, it doesn't matter where you change them. I just do it from whatever interface is the easiest at the time.
