Should I lower the camera?

Since I only really use my cameras for 'catching the critters' in the woods I originally thought 6 or 7 feet high was the 'right' height. Since then I've installed a couple more at 5' and have lowered one and will probably lower 2 more.

This camera is mounted at ~6ft and I wish it was lower too!

yeah, i'd lower the view a bit. how far are those trees and how high up do you need to see into them?
i'd bring it down to showing no more than about 6ft of those trees. unless you need to watch the squirrels or monkeys up higher in the foliage... :)

Maybe I can get the whole deer if I point the camera a bit lower :)
In your video above, I feel you could frame it so that the top of the frame would probably be ending at those trees in the distance. You can't really see past them, or have a need to, right? So the top of the frame could be about 8' up from the ground at that point. Whereas now it looks like it might be 30'+ or so.
