Hello folks,

I have some big Dahua PTZ already for security reasons.

Now, a pair of kestrels are going to bread in the kastrel nesting box, which I placed in Feb 2020 on my house wall.

On the 2nd foto (1st is the female, 2nd male ontop), I did a yellow/red point, where I wish to place the mini PTZ.

What I found by my selve is: Dahua 1A203.

Are there any "better" or smaler mini PTZs from Dahua?

Important points for me:

- Starlight

- PTZ

- zoom is with 3x ok, because the distance are around 1m (3 feet)

- wide angle view

- 2MP fine, 4MP nice

- Fotos/records should be save via ftp on my NAS

@looney2ns ,

thanks for the link to the review and I know, that you had many cameras in your hands.

Is the SD1A203T in your opinion "the one" I need, or do you have others in your view?

There is a 4mp starlight version of the same camera. Not sure of the price difference but it should not be much.

Is the beam that you will be mounting to a wall beam or a roof beam, as in vertical or horizontal? Most PTZ cams do not like to be mounted laying flat on a wall, at least that is what I have read here.

Is it out of the rain? Could it get wet? It is important to weather proof the connectors.

All answered in the OP.

Hi folks,

I received the Dahua DH-SD1A404XB-GNR from Andy.

Sadly, there comes no power supply with the camera (support POE, which I dont use at all), which I did not notice :-(

But I have a standard power supply with 12V and 2A and with 5,5mm/2,1mm barrel connector... with + on the middle pin and - on the outside.

But how is the camers barrel connector wired?????? Where is + and where is - ??? Sometimes there is a sign on the connector, but not here. E.g. 1590337205542.png

The orig power supply is PFM320D, but sadly, the documentation don't tell anything, where + and - is.

Does anybody from you, have a doc about where +/- is or can pls measure it (if you have a PFM320D)?

Thanks a lot :thumb:

@VorlonFrog , that will sadly take some time, because the camera, I received, has a defect... just 2 out of 3 IR Lights are working and has to be repaired, better changed.

I tested another power supply, all 3 IR modes.. noch changes, just 2 IR lights are working...

It changes which IR led is on by the direction the lens is pointed, they don't all stay on all the time.
