Spy Tec G1WH Freezing

I got a Spy Tec G1WH from Amazon 8 months ago (it appears to be genuine) and all has been good until the last few weeks. The last few weeks it has started to turn itself off after a few seconds of starting up. Occasionally it seems to start up and look like it's working. But when you check the recording t's corrupt. Has anyone had any experience with fixing this problem?

As a quick test maybe try a different SD card and see if the symptoms persist.

I've tried using a new SD card and that didn't work either. I've just found the following on Dash Cam Talk:

A number of owners have reported that the G1W turns off without showing any signs of turning off (the red light was on). When trying to press the buttons they would not respond with the exception of holding the ON button to turn the camera off. The video files were corrupted as well. There is no known solution and the camera appears to be defective.
