Dear community

I am not happy with the 850nm IR light provided by the cameras (eg. Trendnet IP-IP319PI). My main concern is that the light is seen in the dark and hence the camera is detected. Ideally I would install a new camera that has 940nm IR LEDs instead of the 850ies. 940nm light is not visible by the human eye. However, so far I have not found any IP camera that has 940nm IR light (that is somewhat <1k $). Alternatively I am looking for an external IR light

Question:
I have some doubts if (any) IP camera that has the 850nm would also "see" the light that is being provided by a 940nm external light - are there any technical boundaries I am not aware of?

You could disable the camera's 850nM IR and use an external IR emitter of the 940 wavelength, but based of what I read below, although most, if not all, cams will respond to the 940, the cam's sensor is much less sensitive to 940 and the IR output wattage may need to be two to three times higher to compensate for the sensor's reduced sensitivity to 940:
