Hey just wondering what you guys are doing when installing a camera setup at storage units. A client has multiple storage units 10 miles away from home. He wants to be able to monitor it from home. Blue iris server with a cellular modem to send alerts?? I know live view will not be a reality.

Are these units inside a larger facility or does he own the property?

Ok. Yea he doesn’t have any line of sight. Just curious what companies are actually doing with the ones they are putting up. Must be on sight surveillance

Having something on premises is cheap and most reliable. The most important device he needs is an alarm system.

Line of sight doesn't necessarily mean both ends can be seen with the unaided eye. If he can mount on a roof, or small roof mounted mast, at both ends and there's not a lot between the two locations, like trees and tall buildings, a wireless bridge might work out. There are some that will go 8KM, supposedly, from Ubiquity.
