This is a 4-year old Hikvision DSCD 2032-I bullet on the main yard, a really cheap ZModo 720P on the side yard, and the shot of the police car is from an RCA HSDB2A doorbell camera. I checked to see if the occupants were OK, then called the police. Would have shown them this had they contacted me back... I heard the guy telling the officer he "saw a small animal" and swerved to avoid it, but the footage tells a different story.

He was lucky.....several of the knockdowns of 30 foot type 15 (California standards) street light poles I attended to from '73 to '04 would fall on vehicles that were legally parked at the curbs in the residential neighborhoods. They weigh around 750 pounds with an 8 foot mast arm and a light fixture....quite a force when it lands after falling down from its erected 30 foot height. I've seen the trunk and/or roof, hood and front and/or rear windows destroyed. It can also take down overhead phone, cable and secondary power lines. YIKE$$$ !
