Update your firmware, security vulnerability found.

I received an email from Axis the other day telling me to update the firmware in my camera because a vulnerability has been found.

An attacker needs to have network access to products in order to exploit the vulnerability.

Using a VPN instead of forwarding ports will mitigate alot of this, a vlan with a firewall filtering all network access to/from trusted hosts only would completely prevent it.

at least axis issues CVE's, then fixes the issue, thats better than everyone else..
