I have some DS-2CD2042WD-I bullet cameras that I upgraded from 5.4.5 to 5.5.82. I noticed 5.5.0 adds a new enable ONVIF section, which I enabled and added an admin account for, but when I try to connect via ONVIF I get an authorization error. Is this firmware just broken?

Thanks

Check the credentials by giving them to ONVIF Device Manager and see if they work OK.
This requires the PC IP address to be in the same range as that of the camera.

Firmware 5.5.0 and below have ONVIF enabled by default. 5.5.0 and over will have the ONVIF section. If it is not working then you may try defaulting the camera and trying again. I have never had an issue with ONVIF after upgrading from older firmware.

You have to manually enable onvif in web interface, and assign a onvif username and password ( seperated with the default admin of the camera )
