you guys are forgetting that in 2016 the shoe was indeed on the other foot and the Dems did play ball. They nominated someone, but it was much further out from the election, and the GOP stonewalled saying it needed to be decided by the voters; with Mitch being the one saying that the loudest. The dems could of changed the senate rules and gotten the confirmation through simple majority, but they didn't. Don't forget the filibuster rule was changed on presidential cabinet appointments and agencies. They left the SCOTUS one stay at 60 votes, which Mitch changed after the senate got flipped.

any GOP senator that pushed for the "voters" to decide in 2016 that now pushes to ram a nominee through is a flaming, salad tossing, hypocrite.
The Dems and far left liberal socialist segment of the party has taken control and invented the word hypocrite. They haven’t been playing by the rules for a long time. The Lines have been drawn, if you don’t know which side you're on, someone has already decided for you.

We need to have a FULL Supreme Court to deal with the fallout from all the election law suits that are going to come up in November. Ballot Harvesting, sending out ballots to everyone on the voter rules, vote fraud, counting mailed in ballots that are presumed to have been mailed before the election, etc etc

And, I can't help but think - people had to know that Ginsburg was nearing the end of her life... This just didn't happen overnight. She was hospitalized in July for a 'possible infection'. Seriously, does anyone at this point really believe that? The facts are, she was dying, the Democrats covered it up until the very last moment when they couldn't cover it up any more (she died) instead of doing the responsible thing of her stepping down which should have happened months ago. Purely political on her part, she tried to run out the clock and didn't make it

Get that vacancy filled ASAP!

You were never in the GOP. We both know that. I guess the democrats always play by the rules. Kavanaugh cough cough. Supporting violent rioting racist marxists like black lives matter and antifa. Shoving the disastrous obamacare down our throats by executive order. Please give us a break.
I voted for bush twice, voted for mccain, wrote in my own name when romney ran against obama (because he was the GOP version of john kerry), wrote in mattis' name in 2016.
the only democrat i have ever voted for was Senator Mark Warner who is a fiscally conservative, decent on gun rights, democrat that did a good job running the state; who i promptly voted against the 2nd time due to his support of the sequester agreement. (left out the state/local elections whose names you wouldn't recognize)

Also the ACA(aka obamacare) passed the house and the senate and was signed into law. It has also passed muster multiple times with the SCOTUS.

I never said the dems play by the rules, but the GOP is frankly just as bad about it. The main difference is the GOP usually tries to claim some moral, or religious, high ground and then dismisses it the moment it is convenient.

They asked her to step down under obama in favor of nominating someone younger, but she didn't.

As far as ballot harvesting goes, its only legal in one state (California) and republicans have already stated they are willing to go that route there.

Sure you did and now you will vote for biden. Sure. Obamacare originated with an executive order then then the democratic senate used fraud and deception to pass the bill. How did they do it you ask? All budget bills must originate in the house. The republican house would never consider the shit show that is obamacare, so the senate took HR3590, a military housing bill, and stripped all the language from it and TURNED it into obama care!! They also used the reconciliation rule reserved for budget item approvals to pass the bill with 59 senators. That didnt bother you I guess.....

We get it your sister is an extremely overpaid carrier or cashier at USPS and you want to ensure she keeps getting overpaid.

where the hell are you getting your information from? i hope not the guy with the rolex that screams about gay frogs.

The house had a majority of democrats when the ACA passed, and they didnt lose it until after the ACA was passed. the ACA passing is what helped flip the house in the first place.

also i cannot find any reference to where HR3950 (patient protection act) started off as one bill and then completely changed to another. you are gonna need to site your source for that nonsense. and by source i mean the original bill as presented by the house.

To clarify, the while the house was democrat controlled didnt have enough votes for obamacare. I understand that you have no clue about HR3950 because you are oblivious the the lies and games of the left because you are one of them.
See for yourself, the first version of H.R 3950 dated 9/17/2009 is ONE paragraph. The final bill is the obamacare disaster. Stop pretending that you were once a member of the GOP. VERY ODD that you lie to my face and provide a link that has the information you claim not to be able to find. YOU PROVIDED THE LINK YOURSELF!!!!! THERE IS A DROPDOWN MENU!!!!! READ THE DAMN INFO YOU POST! Folks this is a prime example of lying leftists. They will lie to your face. Provide links as evidence that when read refute their positions.
Introduced in House (09/17/2009)

Amends the Corporate Estimated Tax Shift Act of 2009 to increase corporate estimated tax payments in the third quarter of 2014 by an additional 0.5%.

if you can't play by your own rules then what is the point in even having them.
any GOP senator that pushed for the "voters" to decide in 2016 that now pushes to ram a nominee through is a flaming, salad tossing, hypocrite.
Harry Reid:
Once the president has sent a nominee to the Senate, it’s our responsibility to act

Harry Reid:
Senate Republicans would have the American people believe that it is a long-held practice to deny the president the right to fill a Supreme Court vacancy — this is simply not true

Harry Reid:
The duties of the Senate are set forth in the U.S. Constitution. Nowhere in that document does it say the Senate has a duty to give Presidential nominees a vote.

There is no hypocrisy here. No dirty tricks the left is so fond of. The senators are there to do the people's business, not to please their colleagues across the aisle. They are obligated to do what they were elected to do.

The only argument here is whether or not the repubs will again be bullied by the dems and the press.

President Trump will not be bullied. The Republicans just need to follow the what Harry Reid said as quoted above.

The ACA has been a net positive only because of the changes that President Trump has made my getting rid of the mandates.
Its has always been and still is a net negative. They played with the numbers. They claim there are more "insureds" but that is only because they expanded medicaid under the ACA. Millions of hard working folks lost their health coverage. The lucky ones who maintained coverage saw skyrocketing deductibles. A health insurance plan with a 5k-14k deductible is not health insurance. Its a catastrophic plan. catastrophic plans have always been available for a fraction of the cost of a useless plan under the ACA.

You are correct. The private plans are better.

The most fucked up part of the ACA is that it does not allow for the purchase of a catastrophic plan unless you are under 30 or qualify for a hardship exemption. Many people are perfect candidates for a cheap catastrophic plan, however, we are are forced to subsidize the rest.

I don't care what you say about Trump - if you truly are a 'Republican' and have conservative values, the fact that he put two conservative Justices on the Supreme Court and probably a third, should be counted as a big WIN and far outshines some of the other things he has said or done during his Presidency...

Seeing how the recent preorder sales went for the PS5 and NVIDIA 3080 Series cards went, an online election simply cannot work. The bots will take over :(

I'm not too worried about Trump, I'm more concerned with Mitch and the other senators who are looking at not making waves at home before an election. We can assume the dems and so-called independents will vote in lock-step against.

"Dirty Harry" Reid? (or was it dingy harry?) I think it goes without saying that either party would favor replacing the justice if it favored themselves. My question is do enough repubs have the balls for it?

Actually RGB said the SCOTUS vacancy must be filled. Do the dems now say she was wrong?
