use old htpc ? I3 -2100t

Will an old now defunct htpc - i3 2100t , ssd os , 2tb 2.5 samsung , 8gb ram be ok for a small setup ?
3 or 4 cameras max at 4mp ?
Just wondering if nyone has a similar setup etc , would be nice to reuse the old kit if possible

You will need to set it up aggressively using the instructions in the wiki on top for optimizing BI. Also note that the hd2000 series intel graphics only support hardware acceleration up to 1080p. Look at the dahua starlight turrets for great low light and night performance.
If the system chokes you can buy an hp 8300 i5-3570 for 100 bux with windows 10 pro.
