Hi All,

Im having a reoccuring issue in that the lights will come on due to motion detected by the camera (great) but when the lights go off, the contrast change, I assume, is triggering the lights to go on again.

Ive played with object size and contrast but making them less sensitive stops them capturing real motion.

Is there anyway around this issue?

Thanks!

If you haven't already, you might want to play around with Trigger > Motion Sensor > Object Detection > Reset detector when object size exceeds % (e.g., scene or major lighting change).

Hi aristobrat, what would you suggest as a value? its current set to 67% and it has object exceeds ticked.

Maybe review an alert clip (with the option enabled that shows you what it detects as motion) and see if you can get a feel for what % of the image it’s “seeing” as moving when the light turns on/off. That’d be the % you’re looking for.

Hopefully BI is sensing a large area. If it’s a bunch of smaller areas I’m not sure this suggestion would work. :/
