Using existing doorbell system and creating alarm signal

I have a 16volt DC door bell system with two buttons. One on the front door and one on the back. I would like to wire these into the alram inputs of my NVR so that I get an email when someone rings the door bell(s). Any thoughts on this? I was looking at the ELK 930. I would love some advice.

ELK 930 will work well (prices have gone up they used to be a lot cheaper), a timer may be required to lengthen the pulse and debounce the input. Look at threads started by @nayr he's got a thread on this very subject.

Another trick somebody used (may have also been nayr) was using a magnetic reed switch (triggered by the electromagnet in the door bell).

Tangent. Thank you so much. Sorry for my laziness in not doing a thorough search. I found the posts by @nayr. Aside from a little confusion with the wiring, I was able to get this to work.
