camera 56.PNG I can set up a patrol on the camera and it operates correctly but doing so seems to disconnect all PZT controls from BI including on the apps. I wish I could still control cameras from the app. here is the snapshot of the camera settings

This is a network IP camera, the settings you adjusting, rs485, don't come into play at all.
If you can PTZ with the cams web interface, you simply need to use Find/Inspect in BI to add it.

I would delete this cam from BI, set the cam back to factory defaults, and start over from scratch.
Add the cam to BI, by entering it's IP address, and the user and password you assigned to the cam.
Then click Find/Inspect.

that is how I got to where I am now. under BI it would stop tracking part way through when it hit one of the setpoints in BI. so I reset the camera, deleted the old and set it up to track in the camera's software, but when i did that it stopped all pzt controls under BI
