Using "SmartPlay" in Dahua NVR to review tripwire events keeps freezing/locking up?

I have a Dahua NVR5416-4KS2, still trying to learn how everything works. Looking to get the hang of tripwires and the IVS stuff.
My NVR is not internet-connected yet, only local.

I'm sure my firmware is way out of date. I'll search and see about what version to upgrade this to.

Camera I'm using:
HDW5231R-Z

ONVIF Version 19.06(V2.6.1.845551)
Security Baseline Version V2.0

I'm using Pale Moon 32-bit to remote into my NVR. I set up some tripwires to start experimenting, and they seem to be triggering.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to look at and review any triggers. I think it might be under SmartPlay, but that seems to be pretty glitchy.

It also looks like SmartPlay is for only one camera at a time? I'll chose Camera D1, and then go to Historic Analysis.





I will get a handful of thumbnails that come up. Clicking on one will play that clip.
The thumbnails look like crap, or black a lot of the time.






It's extremely "laggy" trying to click between videos, not intuitive at all.
I'm also getting an error where the page is "locking up" and have to hit debug/continue/quit, although it's not doing that right now haha.



Also, no audio on some?


Have a lot more reading to do, but wondering what is going on here.

It’s called entropy, and sheer greed. If dahua doesn’t give a crap about me, someone who gives them a million or so a year, do you think they care about someone buying a few cameras?

I don't know...I'm not sure if I'm even using it right.


For example this car came down from the top corner. There was no change to the the color of the blue line as if it had triggered the tripwire, however it did draw a green box around the car as it was driving by?






There is nothing recorded at 16:55 around that time.






I did have a cat walk across at 18:33 which did trigger the tripwire...?
