Hello

I have a question about the varifocal mode of cameras. Does the camera automatically change its focal length to adapt to the detection distance of a person? For example, if a person is detected in a wide-angle field of view (green observation zone), does the camera switch to "identification zone" mode and start tracking them?

like tthat :

default position is this focal 2.7

And when it detect something : focal 12

And blue iris can't do that ?
Nope Blue Iris simply takes the video as provided by the camera.

As stated, a varifocal is a set it and forget it camera. At that point the zoom and focus is fixed.

Only an auto tracking PTZ will zoom in and focus as an object moves.
