Vehicle Breaks Down on the Corner

Even before the vehicle gets to the corner you can hear something is wrong as it drives up the hill. The driver ends up pulling over right in front of a fire hydrant. Later, he pulls the parking brake and the vehicle rolls back down to the corner. After the vehicle fails to restart, he ends up walking home up the hill. He comes back about 10 minutes later with someone who helps him push the vehicle to the curb. The next day (today) the vehicle is towed away. In the video after he walks away the video runs at 4x speed.

Sounds like that it had been running hot for a loooong time, even before he decided to climb that hill. I'd be very surprised if something did not get damaged badly because of that, too. Hard to tell from sounds, may be a Diesel with turbo and turbo seized and fried the belt or has water in turbo, etc.
Whatever it is..."it ain't good".

I agree. He does not know too much about auto mechanics. He let that motor get way to hot before pulling over. He probably will have a very big repair bill. That motor could well be toast.
